Our management team is a dedicated group of professionals committed to ensuring the delivery of high-quality healthcare services while maintaining operational excellence. Led by experienced individuals with a passion for patient care, the team works collaboratively to drive the hospital’s mission of providing comprehensive, patient-centered healthcare.

1. Dr. Alex Watako Munyendo – Medical Superintendent and Director
As the Medical Superintendent and one of the directors, Dr. Munyendo oversees all medical services at Maxicare Sunrise Hospital. He brings a wealth of experience and leadership in managing clinical operations, ensuring that the hospital adheres to the highest medical standards and regulatory requirements. His leadership plays a crucial role in upholding the hospital’s commitment to holistic healthcare.

2. Madam Joanne Miriam Wandera – Director and Health Administrative Officer (HAO)
Madam Joanne Wandera is both a director and the Health Administrative Officer. She is responsible for managing the hospital’s day-to-day administrative functions, including overseeing patient services, staff coordination, and ensuring the seamless operation of non-medical departments. Her focus is on maintaining an organized, patient-friendly environment that aligns with the hospital’s values of professionalism, respect, and integrity.

3. The Nursing Officer-in-Charge
The Nursing Officer-in-Charge is at the forefront of managing our nursing staff. This leader ensures that patient care is delivered compassionately, efficiently, and safely. Their responsibilities include overseeing the performance and continuous training of the nursing team, ensuring adherence to hospital protocols, and managing patient interactions in the wards.

4. Clinical Services-in-Charge
The Clinical Services-in-Charge supervises the clinical operations across various specialties, ensuring smooth delivery of medical care in the outpatient, inpatient, and specialist units. This role is critical in coordinating between doctors, clinical officers, and nurses to ensure a high standard of healthcare delivery.

5. Laboratory and Imaging Officers-in-Charge
These officers manage the hospital’s diagnostic services, ensuring that the laboratory and imaging departments, including X-ray, ultrasound, ECG, and echocardiography, provide accurate and timely diagnostics. Their leadership ensures that these essential services run efficiently and contribute to better patient outcomes.

6. Pharmacy-in-Charge
The Pharmacy-in-Charge oversees the hospital’s pharmacy operations, ensuring that a wide range of quality medications are available for patients. They ensure that the pharmacy operates in compliance with national regulations and that all prescriptions are filled accurately and promptly.

7. Rehabilitative Services-in-Charge
The Rehabilitative Services-in-Charge leads the department responsible for physiotherapy and other rehabilitative care services. This role ensures that patients requiring physical rehabilitation receive the best care possible to enhance their recovery.

8. Support and Administrative Departments
The Health Management Team (HMT) also includes officers responsible for critical administrative functions such as finance, human resources, supplies, and maintenance. Each plays a vital role in ensuring that the hospital operates smoothly, efficiently, and with a focus on quality improvement and patient satisfaction.
